Matariki Community Planting
Grab your whānau and friends and join us to celebrate Matariki.
We will be planting native trees and shrubs to restore the whenua. Your hard work will help grow the urban ngahere (forest) of Auckland and create new habitat for native birds and other wildlife.
Make sure you have sturdy covered shoes, weather protection (for sun or rain), a bottle of water and a snack, plus spades and gloves if you have them. To protect our parks from kauri dieback, please bring only clean footwear and equipment to our parks.
Suitable for: All ages
When: Sat 2 Jul, Planting sessions start at 10am and 1pm
Where:
Totara Park
off Redoubt Road, Manurewa
