Te Paparahi Toi – Journey from Karangahape Road to Fort Street
Follow the path of Te Wai Horotiu, the stream that once ran from Karangahape toward the sea and discover art and Te Māori sites of significance.
This guided walk is the essence of storytelling, delving into belief systems, mātauranga (knowledge systems), themes and representations embedded deep within te ao Māori and reflected in the artistic, urban, architectural present.
Whakamanatia, a kaupapa Māori community group led by Grayson Goffe, will guide the three hīkoi (walking tours) alongside members of our resilient local communities.
The hīkoi will depart from St Kevins Arcade entrance, 183 Karangahape Road, and end on Fort Street.
