Karangahape Road’s much-loved Matariki street party, Te Karanga a Hape, is back on the eve of the 2023 Matariki public holiday – and everyone is invited!

This year’s theme is He Ara Matarau (Pathway of Diversity), acknowledging the kaleidoscope of cultures, identities, colours, sounds, flavours, unforgettable sights and sensory delights that come together to create the iconic, all-inclusive thoroughfare we love. 

With support from Auckland Council, the city centre targeted rate and Link Alliance, the Karangahape Road Business Association is working alongside a team of local event creatives to curate a full and fabulous programme of live music, art, food, fashion, markets, workshops and wild performances.
