Te Ara Awataha – Matariki Planting

Celebrate Matariki with us by planting native plants, to help enhance the mauri (life force) of Te Ara Awataha. This reserve at the end of Kākā Street is home to the source of the Awataha Stream and has deep significance to local mana whenua. The Te Ara Awataha restoration project is a collaboration between Eke Panuku, Kāinga Ora, Healthy Waters, Kaipātiki Local Board and Kaipātiki Project to regenerate Jessie Tonar Scout Reserve.
