Ngā Taonga Tākaro with Harko Brown – Botanic Gardens
Come and join Harko Brown, teacher and Māori games expert, as he leads a cultural and fun-filled hīkoi (walk) through some of our beautiful bush and parks. He will choose random leaves, sticks and stones to show how his ancestors used them in play, navigation and as incredible teaching tools. He will also find edible native plants and share the legendary lore behind them. Lots of low-impact participation and cultural sharing.
