Auaha Haukura

This exhibition showcases the joint practice of husband-and-wife duo, Lissy and Rudi Robinson-Cole. Enjoy crocheted sculptural forms in neon colours, bringing together colour, texture and shapes to explore their connection to this world and the next, as well as the practice of mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge). The artworks symbolise the deep connection to their wairua (spirit) and the neon yarn symbolises the aroha connecting us all. The kaupapa of their art practice is joy, which they see as a gift from their tūpuna (ancestors).

Join Lissy and Rudi Cole-Robinson for a crochet workshop to learn the basics of crochet, using their signature colourful wool.
