Taamaki Ki Raro

The name of this exhibition comes from the tribal pepeha, "Mookau ki runga, Taamaki ki raro...", which defines the geographic boundaries of Waikato-Tainui and reaffirms their status as mana whenua in Taamaki Makaurau. The focus of the exhibition is kaupapa (themes) that are important to the iwi, including whakapapa (genealogy), whenua (land) and koorero (stories).
